What’s Happening at TMC for Children: October 2019

It’s cooling down, but our community events are heating up!

Here is What’s Happening at TMC for Children in October:

• Great Clips Campaign: October 1-31, Visit your local Great Clips and donate to help support TMC for Children, Children’s Miracle Network. Find your closest Great Clips here.
• GameStop Campaign: October 4-November 4, Help save kids’ lives in Southern Arizona by making at $1, $5, $10, trade-in or PowerUp Rewards points donation at GameStop or by joining the GameStop Super Team for Extra Life!
• International Walk to School Day: October 2, Safe Kids Pima County and Tucson Medical Center are partnering with Whitmore Elementary to educate students on the importance of bike and pedestrian safety. We will be walking from a local park to the school to celebrate what they have learned!
• Safe Fair: Home Depot on Broadway – October 5, Safe Kids Pima County and Tucson Medical Center are partnering up to teach kids and families the importance of medication and laundry packet safety. We will have free cabinet locks to distribute.
• Car Seat Safety Check: Larry H. Miller Dodge – October 12, Free car seat check event at Larry H. Miller Dodge on 22^nd Street. from 8-11AM
• Literacy Connects Safety Day: October 26, Safe Kids Pima County and Tucson Medical Center are hosting a table at the Literacy Connects Safety Day event to educate families on booster seats. Each child that is eligible will receive a booster seat!
• Activity Hub: Clycovia – October 27, Tucson Medical Center will be hosting an Activity Hub from 9AM-3PM

• GEICO: October 28, We are partnering with GEICO to offer a free car seat class from 6:30-8PM.
  • Call 520-546-7340 to register. Upon completion of the class, each registrant receives a free age and weight appropriate car seat.

• Year Round Fundraisers: TMC for Children, Children’s Miracle Network is so thankful to have partners that fundraise year round. Make a donation at any of the following locations to support your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital: TMC for Children.
  • Panda Express: Find the nearest restaurant.
  • Speedway:  Find the nearest gas station.
  • Credit Union’s For Kids: Find the nearest credit union.
